Award description

To provide a financial award to assist a woman in taking, or continuing, Indigenous course work at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ. This award is made possible by a unique partnership between the Canadian Federation of University Women - Victoria and the United Way of Greater Victoria and generously supported by the Horner Foundation.

Criteria

You must:

  • be a female
  • be currently registered as a student at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, MΓ©tis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have aΒ GPAΒ of 2.5 or equivalent
  • complete the application form

Selection process

You canΒ apply for more than one awardΒ using theΒ .

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.

Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants who work at, or volunteer with, a non-profit organization that undertakes to improve the lives of Indigenous people. Financial need will be strongly taken into consideration.
